The People’s Republic of China Simplifies Visa Procedures for Citizens of Kyrgyzstan
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reported that the People’s Republic of China has simplified the visa issuance procedure for citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The Embassy of China has lifted the requirement for mandatory electronic pre-registration for submitting visa applications, effective from December 17th.
This means that the Consular Section will now accept visa applications on a first-come, first-served basis on established days and hours, without the need for electronic pre-registration. Additionally, the requirement to provide an invitation from the Chinese side with a special barcode for entrepreneurs and citizens traveling to the PRC for business, cultural, scientific, and educational events has been canceled.
Citizens of Kyrgyzstan can now apply for a Chinese visa of the appropriate category if they have an invitation, as well as a petition or appeal from authorized government bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Furthermore, the ministry has reminded citizens that as of November 7th, consular legalization of documents of the Kyrgyz Republic intended for use in the territory of the People’s Republic of China, with an apostille, is no longer required.
These changes are expected to make it easier for citizens of Kyrgyzstan to travel to China for various purposes, and are part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
