This three-day event aims to bring together heads of national oil and gas companies, leading international and financial organizations, and representatives of leading energy companies to discuss solutions for achieving a zero methane future. So far, more than 700 delegates from 46 countries have registered to attend OGT 2023.

The Plenary Session of OGT 2023 will feature high-profile speakers, including the Iraqi Minister of Electricity, Mr. Zeyad Ali Fadhel, Executive Director of Low Carbon Solutions & International Growth at ADNOC, Mr. Musabbeh Al Kaabi, CNPC President, Mr. Hou Qijun, President of SOCAR, Mr. Rovshan Najaf, and representatives of other leading international organizations. SOCAR, the Geneva-based global energy trader, has been announced as the Premier Partner of OGT 2023. Headquartered in Switzerland, SOCAR serves as the marketing arm of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR). It was established with the mission to market Azeri barrels produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field and other surrounding fields in Azerbaijan. SOCAR has expanded its presence into other markets and has maintained a strong partnership with Turkmenistan in crude oil and oil products.

SOCAR delivers Azeri barrels via multiple export pipelines, including the Western Route Export Pipeline (WREP) in Georgia, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline (BTC) in Turkey, and Baku-Novorossiysk in Russia.

What sets SOCAR apart is its unique combination of being a state-owned entity and a major commodities trading company with a global presence. With a streamlined staff and administration, supported by sophisticated IT systems and an internal control framework, SOCAR has established itself as one of the most successful global energy trading companies. The company prioritizes conducting business in a responsible manner and has invested significant time and resources in risk management, control, and compliance.

SOCAR has established partnerships and business relationships worldwide, working with reputable European and global banks, as well as other state-owned entities, including those in Turkmenistan. The company has also invested in physical infrastructure projects to enhance its trading capabilities and serves as a logistics hub for Caspian barrels. With a presence across the value chain, SOCAR is focused on expanding its light ends and LNG divisions in 2021, developing oil products trading, and further strengthening its positions in Southern and Eastern European gas trading.

SOCAR is confident that its participation in OGT 2023 will further strengthen its mutually beneficial cooperation with national and international energy companies attending the event.
