Starlink’s New Antenna Revolutionizes High-Speed Internet Access
SpaceX is making strides in enhancing its Starlink satellite internet system by developing a new antenna that promises to revolutionize data transfer speeds. The company aims to surpass the current maximum speed of 200 Mbps by utilizing a broader range of radio frequencies.
In order to achieve gigabit speeds, SpaceX is planning to launch third-generation (V3) satellites using the Starship rocket. These satellites will feature narrower beams, increased bandwidth, and reduced latency, allowing for internet access speeds of up to 2 Gbps.
While awaiting approval from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for the network modernization, SpaceX is also working on updating its flat high-performance antenna for enterprise clients. Additionally, the company has plans to introduce a new antenna model that will build upon the success of the compact Starlink Mini.
