The illegally privatized building materials market Eurasia, located on the territory of Stary Tolchok in Sverdlovsky district of Bishkek, has been returned to the state balance. The press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS) reported this development.
According to the statement released by the SCNS, it was discovered that the land, with a total area of 2.2 hectares, which was initially under the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic’s balance, was unlawfully transferred to the private cooperative Shar-Cheber, which eventually privatized it. It was further revealed that the cooperative has connections to individual employees of the Ministry of Agriculture.
Following the investigation, a land plot of 1.14 hectares and retail premises covering more than 3,000 square meters at the Eurasia market were successfully returned to the state balance.
The SCNS emphasized that efforts to uncover similar cases of illegal privatization of state land, buildings, and structures for private ownership are ongoing. Measures are being implemented to reclaim these properties and return them to the state balance.
