Tashkent City Department of Youth Affairs Signs Contract with Phantom Company
A contract worth 301 million 560 thousand UZS has raised concerns after discrepancies were found in the details provided by the Tashkent city Youth Affairs Department and “City Teour” LLC. The contract, signed for transportation services during the World Youth Festival from June 23 to July 1, 2024, has come under scrutiny.
One of the main issues raised is that “City Teour” LLC was only registered in the state registry on June 24, 2024, a day after the services were supposed to have begun. This has raised questions about the legality of the services provided by the company.
Furthermore, the order from the head of the Youth Affairs Department, which formed the basis of the contract, was only signed on June 26, 2024, after the services were said to have commenced. Additionally, government decree No. 345-F from May 30, 2024, had already allocated transportation vehicles for festival participants, making the need for additional transportation services unclear.
In response to these discrepancies, the Youth Affairs Agency has launched an inspection into the matter. A working group has been formed to investigate the situation, and an official statement from the Agency’s press service has promised to make the results of the investigation public.
The contract between the Tashkent city Youth Affairs Department and “City Teour” LLC has raised questions about the legality and necessity of the services provided. As the investigation unfolds, more will be revealed about the circumstances surrounding this controversial contract.
