Since regaining the presidency, Donald Trump’s frequent golf outings to his Florida courses have come at a high cost to American taxpayers. On the 13th day of his 48 in office, Trump was seen playing golf once again. This time, it was his 10th visit to his course in West Palm Beach, located near his Mar-a-Lago country club home. He also spent three days at his course in Doral, close to Miami International Airport.
The cost of these trips is substantial, with a Government Accountability Office report estimating each visit to Mar-a-Lago during his first term to cost over $3 million. This includes expenses for transportation, security, and other accommodations for the presidential entourage.
Despite initially denying plans to play golf during a trip to California, Nevada, and Doral, Trump was later caught playing at his Doral course. This inconsistency has raised questions about the transparency and accountability of the president’s leisure activities while in office.
