Turkish Football Federation Announces Club License Evaluations

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has revealed that the TFF Club License Board has conducted assessments as part of the National Club License System. This board was tasked with reviewing applications submitted by clubs based on criteria such as sports, infrastructure, personnel, legal compliance, and finances.

Several clubs from the TFF 2nd League, including Corum FK, Altinordu, Ankara Demirspor, Bucaspor 1928, Fethiyespor, and 1461 Trabzon FK, have been granted the National License, following the evaluations conducted by the committee.

On May 21, 2023, the Club License Board conducted the first round of evaluations for the Spor Toto Super League. Notable clubs like Adana Demirspor, Arabam.com Konyaspor, Beşiktaş, Corendon Alanyaspor, Demir Grup Sivasspor, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, İstanbulspor, Medipol Başakşehir FK, Kasımpaşa, Trabzonspor, and Göztepe from the Spor Toto 1st League, along with ALG Spor from the Turkcell Women’s Football Super League, were granted UEFA licenses. The UEFA licenses were also awarded to Fomget, Beşiktaş JK Vodafone Women’s Football Team, Fenerbahçe Petrol Ofisi, Galatasaray Petrol Ofisi Women’s Football Team, and Trabzonspor Women’s Football Club by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality.

Further approvals were given by the board for the National License to Ankara Keçiörengücü, Bodrumspor, Çaykur Rizespor, Manisa FK, and Yılport Samsunspor from the Spor Toto 1st League, as well as Anagold 24Erzincanspor and Weecoins Kırklarelispor from the TFF 2nd League.

For the remaining clubs in the meeting, those who failed to fulfill the necessary requirements were fined and given an additional 30 days to rectify their deficiencies. These sanctions were imposed based on the instructions and regulations established to address violations of the criteria.

The TFF’s efforts to enforce club licensing regulations highlight their commitment to promoting higher standards in Turkish football. With the National Club License System in place, clubs are urged to prioritize the improvement of sports, infrastructure, personnel, legal, and financial aspects, ensuring a more professional and competitive football environment in the country.
