Turkmenistan Delegation Participates in Fourth Antalya Diplomacy Forum
A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldymuradov, took part in the Fourth Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF-2025) on April 11th. The prestigious event was held at the “Nest” Congress Center in Antalya, Republic of Turkey.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF) is an annual initiative that serves as a platform for global and regional dialogue, enabling discussions on pressing issues, finding solutions to modern challenges, and fostering effective cooperation.
During the forum, various thematic sessions were conducted, providing participants with the opportunity to share insights on international cooperation. In his remarks at the session titled “Cooperation, Digitalization, and Development,” H. Geldymuradov highlighted Turkmenistan’s foreign policy stance of positive neutrality, which has garnered widespread international support. He emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to enhancing constructive international collaboration for global well-being and the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals.
Turkmenistan’s initiative to designate 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” at the UN General Assembly was lauded as a testament to the country’s efforts in promoting global peace and sustainable development.
The Turkmen delegation also emphasized the importance of cross-border infrastructure projects, international transport corridors, and digital transformation. They drew attention to Turkmenistan’s initiatives such as the Global Atlas of Sustainable Transport Connectivity and the Alliance for Global Energy Security and Sustainable Development.
In the realm of education, a meeting between Deputy Chairman H. Geldimyradov and the President of the Council of Higher Education of Turkey (YÖK) Erol Özvar took place during the forum. Discussions revolved around enhancing cooperation in science and higher education, including the prospect of hosting joint events at educational institutions in Turkmenistan and Turkey.
The participation of Turkmenistan in the Fourth Antalya Diplomacy Forum underscores the country’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and advancing sustainable development goals on a global scale.
