Hamas Leader Abu Ubeyde Announces Continued Resistance Against Israel
In a recent video recording, Hamas leader Abu Ubeyde declared the ongoing resistance against Israel on the 48th day of the Aqsa Flood. He provided an update on the situation in the field and revealed that they had targeted 335 Israeli military vehicles since the attacks began on October 7, with 33 of them being hit in the last 72 hours.
Abu Ubeyde also mentioned that they had carried out attacks targeting Israeli soldiers in the past 3 days. He stated that they ambushed Israeli soldiers in the Tivam region in the north of Gaza on November 21, resulting in the death of at least 5 soldiers. Additionally, he reported an attack on 8 Israeli soldiers in the east of Er-Rantisi Hospital in Sheikh Ridvan District, resulting in casualties.
Furthermore, Abu Ubeyde revealed that they had conducted a bomb attack on a 6-man infantry company in Beit Hanun on the morning of November 21, and on November 22, they launched a pre-emptive attack on Israeli soldiers who were attempting to blow up a tunnel in the Kileybu Hill area, causing the tunnel to be destroyed.
The Hamas leader also addressed the recent prisoner exchange and humanitarian conflict agreement reached with Israel. He criticized Israel for its ground operation plan based on “destroying everything, killing everyone, and committing massacres to quickly declare victory,” which they thwarted. He also emphasized that the enemy is concealing its real losses, and that Israeli soldiers are not prepared for the war and its consequences.
Regarding Israel’s acceptance of a humanitarian pause in hostilities and a prisoner exchange, Abu Ubeyde stated that they had proposed this before the start of the land operation, but Israel mistakenly believed it could achieve its goals through military force. He reiterated that captives can only be returned through negotiation and exchange.
In response to Israel’s prolongation of the war, Abu Ubeyde accused Israel of relying on genocide, massacres, and collective punishment, and emphasized that Hamas is prepared for continued attacks, regardless of their duration. Hamas remains committed to resisting Israeli aggression and defending the rights of the Palestinian people.
