Three-Year-Old Dies in Hit-and-Run Incident
Tragic Hit-and-Run Incident Leaves 3-Year-Old Dead in Istanbul
A heartbreaking incident took place around 22:00 on Ali Rıza Bey Street in Necip Fazıl Kısakürek Neighborhood, Esenyurt, Istanbul. It was reported that a child named Ferman Işık (3), who had come from Erzurum to attend a wedding, wandered out of the wedding hall and onto the road where he was struck by a vehicle bearing the license plate 34 HUR 442. The driver of the vehicle, after hitting the child, abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene, leaving the seriously injured child behind.
Following the accident, there was a commotion between the local residents and law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene. Medical teams were immediately dispatched to provide assistance, while the police cordoned off the area with tape to secure the scene. The injured child was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, but unfortunately, despite efforts to save him, he tragically succumbed to his injuries.
Crime scene investigators arrived at the scene to conduct an examination, while the police initiated a search for the driver who had fled. The vehicle involved in the accident was towed away for further investigation.
