Tragic accident in Kahramanmaraş as light commercial vehicles plunge off cliff: fatalities and injuries reported
A tragic accident occurred in Kahramanmaraş when a light commercial vehicle rolled into a cliff, resulting in the death of the driver. The incident took place in Kurdul neighborhood near the Kavkut cluster houses when the driver, identified as I. K (44), lost control of the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to veer off course and into the abyss.
Fortunately, a young boy named i. Annex (11) who was traveling in a passing car, managed to stop the vehicle and alert the authorities. Emergency responders, including AFAD, Gendarmerie, Police, Firefighters, UMKE, and medical teams, quickly arrived at the scene to assist with the rescue effort.
Despite the efforts of the rescue teams, the driver İ.K. could not be saved and tragically passed away. His wife, identified as MK (34), and their son Ak (14), along with İ., were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
