
Turkey Ranks 2nd in Global Mega Yacht Manufacturing Industry

Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu Evaluates Turkey’s Progress in Mega Yacht Manufacturing
Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu recently evaluated Turkey’s position in the global mega yacht manufacturing industry based on data from Boat International’s 2025 Global Mega Yacht Order Book. According to Uraloğlu, Turkey has emerged as one of the leading countries in the world, boasting a strong infrastructure in the maritime field.
Highlighting Turkey’s accomplishments in mega yacht manufacturing, Uraloğlu pointed out that Turkey ranks second in the world, following countries like Italy, the Netherlands, and England. He emphasized Turkey’s significant role in the Mediterranean basin, a hub for yacht tourism, and credited the country’s strong shipyard infrastructure and experience for its success in the industry.
Turkish shipyards have been receiving orders from all around the world, thanks to their advanced engineering solutions and original designs. According to the 2025 Global Mega Yacht Order Book data, Turkey has seen a 8.9 percent increase in the total length of yachts to be built compared to last year, solidifying its position as a leader in the industry.
With a total of 146 orders and a cumulative length of 6,410 meters, Turkey has made remarkable strides in mega yacht manufacturing. Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that Turkish shipyards stand out not only for their production capacity but also for their quality, design, and innovation. Turkey now holds a significant share in the global mega yacht construction sector, boasting a 12.9 percent share in terms of the number of orders and a 14 percent share in total lengths of orders.
As Turkey continues to make advancements in the mega yacht manufacturing industry, Minister Uraloğlu expressed optimism for the future of the country’s shipbuilding sector. With a commitment to excellence and a focus on innovation, Turkey is poised to remain a key player in the global maritime industry.
