Turkish Construction Companies Play Key Role in Turkmenistan’s Development
Since gaining independence, Turkmenistan has seen significant transformations, with Turkish construction companies playing a vital role in this process. Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok recently highlighted the contributions of Turkish companies during a press conference, stating that they have completed over 1,000 projects with a total value exceeding $50 billion.
Ambassador Demirok expressed gratitude to the Government of Turkmenistan for the trust placed in Turkish companies, noting that they have successfully executed major infrastructure projects such as power plants, highways, residential complexes, universities, hotels, and more.
In 2024 alone, Turkish companies secured construction contracts worth $216 million, with 25 ongoing projects valued at $4 billion currently in progress. These projects have significantly contributed to the development and modernization of Turkmenistan’s infrastructure.
The partnership between Turkmenistan and Turkish construction companies continues to thrive, with the shared goal of further enhancing the country’s infrastructure and economic growth.
