
Turkmen Ambassador Holds Meeting with Moldovan State Secretary of Foreign Affairs

A meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Ukraine, Toyly Atayev, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, Sergei Mihov, took place on April 3, 2025. The meeting, held at the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focused on various areas of cooperation between the two countries, including trade and economic relations, cultural exchanges, humanitarian efforts, education, and tourism.
One of the key topics of discussion was the activation of bilateral political and inter-parliamentary consultations. Both parties agreed on a schedule of high-level meetings for the upcoming year, which includes the next session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Moldovan Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.
In a gesture of goodwill and partnership, the Turkmen diplomat extended an invitation to the leadership of the Republic of Moldova to attend the International High-Level Forum “Peace and Trust.” The forum, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Neutrality of Turkmenistan, is set to take place in the Turkmen capital on December 12 of this year.
Overall, the meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova showcased a commitment to strengthening and expanding the ties between the two nations. Cooperation in various sectors and the exchange of high-level meetings are expected to further enhance the relationship between Turkmenistan and Moldova in the future.
