Turkmen and foreign scientists share research findings on Eastern topics
An International Scientific Conference on Science, Technology, and Peace was recently held at the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. Scientists from various countries such as Germany, Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Russia, and the United Arab Emirates joined their Turkmen counterparts to discuss sustainable development pathways.
The conference kicked off with a morning plenary session where participants were greeted with congratulatory speeches and engaging reports on current scientific topics. Iranian scientist Ali Esmaeili, Akbar Amini presented a report on the role of Science and Technology Parks in sustainable development, while Timo Bey from Germany discussed the innovation hub of the Turkic States. Representatives from the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Russia also presented their research findings on topics ranging from improving operational reliability in oil and gas transportation systems to water extraction from atmospheric air.
Throughout the conference’s thematic sections, Turkmen scientists presented a wide array of research reports reflecting their scientific interests and strategic priorities. Topics included chemical technologies, nanotechnology, alternative energy sources, bio-technology, information systems, and innovative economy.
