Turkmen Legislators Promote Transparency and Efficient Lawmaking
The United States Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Governance Support Program recently partnered with the Mejlis (Parliament) of Turkmenistan to host a four-day seminar from February 20 to 23. The seminar aimed to introduce members of Parliament (MPs) to international best practices in lawmaking.
A strong legislative system is essential for promoting good governance, protecting the rights and interests of citizens, and fostering socio-economic development. USAID works closely with the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to enhance the national legislative system and support the effective implementation of the country’s socio-economic and good governance initiatives.
