Turkmen FIFA referee Resul Mamedov to officiate AFC Champions League final group stage match
Turkmenistan’s FIFA referee, Resul Mamedov, has been selected to officiate the final group stage match of the AFC Champions League 2024-25. The match, scheduled for February 17, will see Persepolis from Iran face off against Al-Nassr from Saudi Arabia. This prestigious assignment was announced by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
As per the decision of the Asian Football Confederation, Resul Mamedov will serve as the reserve referee for this crucial match. The main officiating team will be led by FIFA referee Rustam Litfullin from Uzbekistan. Assisting Litfullin as assistant referees will be Sanzhar Shayusupov and Alisher Usmanov. The performance of the officials will be assessed by Jassim Mohammad Al-Hail from Qatar, while Chen Liang-Chen from Chinese Taipei will serve as the match commissioner.
Resul Mamedov, a 33-year-old referee hailing from Ashgabat, comes from a family of referees, with his father being the renowned FIFA referee Mamed Mamedov. Resul has been officiating international matches since 2023 and has earned recognition for his skills and professionalism.
