Turkmenistan Delegation Attends UN Narcotic Drugs Session in Vienna.
A high-level delegation from Turkmenistan recently participated in the 68th session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) at the Vienna office of the United Nations. This session served as a platform for representatives of Member States and international organizations to convene and discuss global drug policy, international cooperation, and strategies to combat drug trafficking.
The Turkmen delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yazguly Agabayev, reiterated Turkmenistan’s strong dedication to enhancing international efforts in addressing drug-related issues. Emphasizing the significance of a balanced approach that combines law enforcement with public health measures in tackling the drug threat, Turkmenistan showcased its commitment to this cause.
Furthermore, Turkmenistan highlighted its active participation in various regional and international initiatives aimed at combatting drug trafficking, reducing drug addiction, and fostering multilateral cooperation in this domain.
During the session, the Turkmen delegation also engaged in parallel events that provided a platform for exchanging best practices with international counterparts and exploring innovative approaches to enhancing global drug control policies.
