Ambassador Shagulyev presented an official invitation to President Gitanas Nausėda on behalf of the National Leader of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, inviting Lithuania to participate in an International Forum in Turkmenistan dedicated to the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. The forum will also mark the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.

Furthermore, Ambassador Shagulyev met with the Director General of Klaipeda State Seaport, Algis Latakas. Latakas provided insights into the port’s activities, highlighting its status as a leading ice-free port on the Baltic Sea and a vital transport hub linking the East and the West. The port’s modern terminals and impressive technical capabilities were underscored, showcasing its capacity to handle diverse cargo flows efficiently.
