Turkmenistan President Sends Condolences to Myanmar Over Earthquake Tragedy
The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister of Myanmar, Min Aung Hlaing, following a devastating earthquake in the central region of the country. The powerful earthquake has resulted in numerous casualties and widespread damage.
In his message, President Berdimuhamedov, representing the people and Government of Turkmenistan, as well as himself, expressed sincere sympathies and offered words of support to the families and friends of those who lost their lives. He also wished a swift recovery to all those who were injured in the disaster.
International news agencies have reported that a series of strong tremors hit central Myanmar on Friday, March 28, 2025. The earthquake, measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale, has claimed the lives of over 1,600 people and caused extensive destruction to residential buildings and infrastructure.
