Turkmenistan President Signs Decree on Spring Military Conscripts and Reserves
President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has recently signed a decree calling for the spring conscription of citizens for military service. The decree also includes the discharge of military personnel who have completed their required service into the reserve.
The announcement was made on March 14, 2025, on the TDH website. The discharge of military personnel who have served their required term will take place between April and June 2025. Simultaneously, the conscription of male citizens aged 18 to 27, who are not eligible for exemption or deferment, will also occur during the same period.
These actions are in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the Law “On Military Duty and Military Service.” The regular conscription of citizens for military service and the discharge of military personnel into the reserve are essential for maintaining the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan.
