Turkmenistan to Host International Olympiads and Educational Conference in 2025
In February and March 2025, Turkmenistan will be hosting international olympiads and an educational-methodological conference at higher educational institutions in the country. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Orazdurdiyeva provided an update on the preparations for these events during a recent Cabinet meeting.
These events are part of Turkmenistan’s Concept of Activities and Priorities for the International Year of Peace and Trust, commemorating the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality and the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s membership in the United Nations. The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan will kick off the activities on February 28 with the international educational-methodological conference “Dil – hoşniýetli gatnaşyklaryň möhüm serişdesi.”
Subsequently, the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan will be hosting the IV Open International Online Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics from March 10 to 15, followed by the IV Open International Online Olympiad in Strength of Materials at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction on March 18.
Participants from Turkmenistan, including students, faculty members, and scientists, as well as talented individuals and scholars from prominent universities in countries such as Russia, the USA, China, the Republic of Korea, the UAE, Austria, Germany, Romania, Turkey, Belarus, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and others, are expected to take part in these events.
The aim of these initiatives is to enhance international cooperation in the fields of science and education, promote relationships between universities globally, and cultivate highly skilled professionals. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov underscored the significance of nurturing young talent and strengthening international partnerships after reviewing the proposals. He approved the initiative and directed the relevant authorities to undertake the necessary preparatory work.
These upcoming international olympiads and conference in Turkmenistan are poised to advance collaboration in the realms of education and science while fostering a conducive environment for the development of future generations of experts.
