Turkmenistan’s Light Industry and Handmade Carpets for Sale
Entrepreneurs from Turkey and Kyrgyzstan strike deals at Turkmenistan State Commodity Exchange
The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan recently held an auction on Tuesday, December 5, where a variety of light industry products and handmade Turkmen carpets were put up for sale.
During the auction, entrepreneurs from Turkey and Kyrgyzstan were able to secure deals with Turkmen companies for the purchase of semi-panama cotton, gabardine cotton, and cotton yarn, all of which are products widely utilized in the garment industry. These deals indicate a strengthening of trade relations between Turkmenistan and these foreign markets.
Additionally, on the domestic market, handmade Turkmen carpets were also in high demand and were purchased during the auction.
In total, 4 deals were concluded, amounting to 9,487.13 manats and $318,127.78. This demonstrates the significant economic activity that took place at the auction, further highlighting the demand for Turkmen products in both domestic and international markets.
The auction at the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan has once again showcased the country’s potential in the light industry sector and the high quality of its handmade carpets, attracting interest and business from international entrepreneurs.
