Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Prepares for UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries Orient
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan recently hosted a briefing to discuss the results of the second UN assessment mission in preparation for the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC-3). The briefing, which took place on April 10, saw the participation of heads and representatives from various ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, as well as specialized UN structures.
During the briefing, the findings of the UN assessment mission in preparation for LLDC-3 were presented and deliberated upon. The upcoming conference is scheduled to be held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone in August 2025. As per a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was highlighted that the Government of Turkmenistan is actively engaged in comprehensive protocol, organizational, and analytical work to ensure the successful organization of the event.
Detailed information regarding the conference program, which includes thematic sessions, forums, and round tables, was shared with the participants of the briefing. The significance of LLDC-3 on a global scale was emphasized by the attendees, who engaged in detailed discussions on key aspects of the agenda, as well as the development of the Final Document and other conference materials.
The briefing shed light on the efforts being made by Turkmenistan to host a successful and impactful conference that aims to address the challenges faced by landlocked developing countries. With preparations in full swing, the country is gearing up to welcome delegates and participants from around the world in August 2025 for LLDC-3.
