Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Health Receives Vital Medicines from Orient

UNDP delivers vital medicines to Turkmenistan to control non-communicable diseases
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Turkmenistan is actively working to combat non-communicable diseases, such as diabetes, by ensuring the regular delivery of essential medicines. As part of the Agreement on the provision of medicines for the prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases, the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan has received a new supply of insulins, insulin pens, and sterile insulin needles.
These medications are now available in medical institutions across Turkmenistan, following the necessary registration processes. The UNDP has been collaborating with the Turkmenistan government since 2021 on various projects aimed at controlling and treating non-communicable diseases, with all funding provided by the government.
This ongoing initiative highlights the commitment of both the UNDP and the Turkmenistan government to improve healthcare services and ensure the well-being of the population. By addressing the challenges posed by non-communicable diseases and providing access to vital medications, significant progress can be made towards a healthier and more prosperous future for all.
