Turkmenistan’s Representation at OCA and Olympic Solidarity Forum Orient

A delegation from Turkmenistan recently attended the second phase of the Regional Forum of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and Olympic Solidarity (OS) in Dushanbe. The event brought together representatives from the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of over 22 West and Central Asian nations to discuss various important matters related to upcoming Asian sporting events.

One of the main topics of discussion at the forum was the hosting of the 3rd Asian Youth Games in Bahrain in 2025, the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games set to take place in Riyadh in 2026, and the XX Summer Asian Games scheduled for 2026 in the Japanese cities of Aichi and Nagoya. Additionally, participants also exchanged ideas on the programs of the International Olympic Committee and the preparation of athletes for the XXXIV Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.

During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Sport of Tajikistan, Zulfikor Gulahmadzoda, expressed optimism that the outcomes of the forum would pave the way for new achievements and enhance cooperation within the Olympic Movement.

As part of the forum activities, a “Fun Run” was organized to promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage sports participation, and foster camaraderie among the delegations attending this significant international event.

The first phase of the forum took place in Thimphu, Bhutan, with the participation of representatives from the NOCs of East, South, and Southeast Asia.

Overall, the Regional Forum served as a platform for meaningful discussions and collaboration among NOCs from different regions, all aimed at promoting sports, healthy living, and friendship through the spirit of the Olympic Movement.
