Two Kindergartens Reverted to State Control in 2023
On December 30th, 2023, the 24.kg news agency reported that two kindergartens in Kyrgyzstan have been returned to the state. According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, 240 children currently attend these two kindergartens.
Kindergarten No. 8 in Bishkek on 253, Chokmorov Street was returned on February 1st, and on March 17th, the Shirin-Nariste preschool educational institution in Kosh-Korgon village, Chui region was also returned to the state.
The Ministry of Education and Science added that a total of 243 kindergartens have been returned from 2010 to 2023 and more than 20,000 children have had the opportunity to attend these preschool educational organizations. This move is expected to have a positive impact on the early childhood education system in Kyrgyzstan.
