UN Urges Restraint in US-Iran Tension to Avoid Dragging Iraq into Conflict
The United Nations Security Council held discussions on the latest developments in Iraq, with UN Special Representative for Iraq Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert highlighting the critical situation in the region. Hennis-Plasschaert, who began her role in December 2018, stated that her tenure will come to an end at the conclusion of May. The discussions at the Security Council underscore the urgency of addressing the situation in Iraq and the broader region to ensure peace and stability.
