Unprecedented Deals in Budapest Airport’s Summer Lineup

Budapest Airport to Offer Most Diverse Range of Flights in History for 2025 Summer Season

The 2025 summer season is set to bring the most diverse range of flights in Budapest Airport’s history, with 13.8 million seats and 136 direct flight destinations, setting a new record for Liszt Ferenc International Airport. This information comes from a recent press release that also details the new flight schedule.

The airport operator has announced eleven new flight connections for the summer schedule, which came into effect on March 30. Wizz Air will be launching new flights to Bilbao, Girona, Vilnius, Venice, Gdansk, and Wroclaw, while Ryanair will introduce flights to Castellón and Katowice. Additionally, new airline partners Jazeera Airways, SCAT Airlines, and SAS Scandinavian Airlines will offer flights to Kuwait City, Shymkent, and Copenhagen, respectively.

“We are proud to offer our passengers more destinations than ever before this summer, and I am confident that everyone will find the airline that best suits their needs to start their holiday. Our new airline development strategy, coupled with VINCI Airports’ extensive network of airline partners, is already delivering very promising results,” said Francois Berisot, CEO of Budapest Airport, as quoted in the press release.

The record-breaking offer of the summer schedule is not only expected to benefit Hungarian travelers but also to further strengthen tourism in Hungary, which is experiencing steadily growing demand due to Budapest’s attractiveness. In addition, traffic between Hungary and China is on the rise, with 357,300 seats available this season—100,000 more than last year, representing a 24 percent increase.

Existing airline partners such as Lufthansa, Eurowings, KLM, and easyJet will significantly increase their capacities, while Aer Lingus and Aegean Airlines will increase the weekly frequency of their flights to five, enhancing connections to the United States and the Greek islands. Notably, the capacity increase to Israel will make Budapest the airport with the most seats to and from Israel in the region for the summer season.

With the extensive range of new flights and destinations, Budapest Airport is poised to offer an unparalleled travel experience for passengers during the upcoming summer season.
