
Update on International Voting Status

Turkey’s General Elections for the President and the 28th Term Member of Parliament have been completed, with the results starting to arrive from foreign polls. Ballot box committees were set up across 73 countries and 156 locations for voters registered in foreign electoral rolls. The latest status of the votes for the President selection abroad is as follows: a total of 9,593 chests were counted and 2090 chests were opened, with incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan leading the race at 56.07%, followed by Kemal Kilicdaroglu with 40.37%. Sinan Ogan and Muharrem Ince garnered 2.23% and 1.33%, respectively. Meanwhile, the latest status of the votes for the Deputy selected from the general election abroad was reported with a total of 9,593 chests counted and 1787 chests opened. The People’s Alliance gained 55.07% of the votes while the People’s Alliance received 29.04%. Other political alliances like the Ancestor Alliance, Labor and Freedom Alliance, and Socialist Co-operative Alliance gained 1.34%, 11.29%, and 0.23%, respectively.
