Urgent Appeal for Palestinians to Confront Israeli Soldiers
Hamas and Islamic Jihad Call for Resistance After Israeli Soldiers Kill 7 Palestinians in West Bank Raids
Hamas and Islamic Jihad have issued a written statement on their Telegram accounts following the killing of 7 Palestinians by Israeli soldiers in raids on Tulkerim and Nur Shams Refugee Camp in the north of the West Bank since April 18.
In the statement, Hamas called for conflict, escalation, and general mobilization against Israeli forces in the West Bank and Jerusalem, using all available means. They stated that Palestinians who resisted the Israeli soldiers in the Nur Shams Refugee Camp suffered many casualties, and reiterated that the Palestinian people will not allow Israel to try to take control of their land. They vowed to resist any attempts to usurp their rights.
Islamic Jihad also called on the Palestinian people to oppose Zionist plans on their homeland and engage in conflict with Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers. The statement also criticized the silence of the Arab world and the international community in the face of the crimes committed against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.
According to Israeli army radio reports on April 18, a “large-scale military operation” was launched against the Nur Shams Refugee Camp in the city of Tulkerim in the north of the West Bank. As a result, 7 Palestinians lost their lives in Tulkerim and Nur Shams Refugee Camp in just two days.
The situation remains tense in the region as calls for resistance continue to grow among Palestinian factions in response to the recent violence.
