US Base in Syria Targeted in Drone Attack by Iran-Backed Groups

Iran-backed Militias Continue Attacks on US Bases in the Middle East
In recent news, attacks on US bases in the Middle East by Iran-backed militias have continued. Reports from local sources have revealed that Iranian-backed terrorist groups situated on the western bank of the Euphrates River launched an attack on the Omer Oil Field Base, which is home to US forces, using multiple kamikaze UAVs.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of casualties resulting from the attack, and the United States has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident. However, in response to a previous attack on an American base on the Syrian-Jordanian border on January 28, the US announced that it conducted air strikes on at least 85 targets belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Army Quds Force and associated militia groups in Syria and Iraq on February 3, 2024.
Tensions have been high in the region, with multiple attacks targeting US bases in Syria using rockets and kamikaze UAVs of unidentified origin since the beginning of the year. It is important to note that the Deir ez-Zor lands east of the Euphrates River are currently under the occupation of the US-backed terrorist organization PKK/YPG, while the city center and other rural areas are under the control of the Bashar Assad regime and Iranian-backed groups.
The ongoing conflict and attacks in the Middle East are a cause for concern and are being closely monitored by international authorities. It remains to be seen how the situation will develop in the coming days and weeks.
