Uzbek Nurses to Work in U.S. Through New Training Program

The United States is facing a growing need for nurses, with projections indicating a requirement for over 1 million nurses by the year 2030. To meet this demand, the U.S. government has allocated 44,000 legal work visas annually for highly skilled nurses.

In light of this situation, Azim Husanov, Deputy Director of the Migration Agency, recently met with Fozilbek Khonkhujaev, Managing Director of New Future Success Academy in Uzbekistan. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the establishment of a training center in Uzbekistan aimed at preparing nurses for U.S.-standard certification exams. Additionally, plans were made to set up an examination hub in the region, which would be the only one of its kind in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and neighboring countries. The ultimate goal of this initiative is to facilitate the employment of candidates who successfully pass the exams in the U.S.

Given the looming shortage of nurses in the U.S., the collaboration between New Future Success Academy and the Migration Agency is expected to play a crucial role in addressing this issue. A memorandum was signed at the conclusion of the meeting, outlining the partnership between the two entities in training candidates for the medical sector.

With this partnership in place, aspiring nurses in Uzbekistan stand to benefit from enhanced opportunities to pursue a career in the United States, while simultaneously helping to meet the increasing demand for healthcare professionals in the country.
