Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Joins Victory Parade in Moscow (Photos)

President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, recently participated in solemn events in Moscow to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the Victory in World War II, during his official working visit. Along with him, leaders of friendly nations, such as Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Armenian Prime Minister, attended the Victory Parade on Red Square.

At the end of the parade, President Mirziyoyev, along with other leaders, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden to pay tribute to the courageous soldiers who lost their lives in World War II, including those from Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the visit marks the end of the presidential working visit to Russia. The Uzbekistan leader was seen off by Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov and other officials at the airport. The president then embarked on his journey to Tashkent.

The commemoration event served as a reminder of the valor exhibited by the soldiers during the Second World War, and highlighted the importance of friendship and mutual understanding among nations, for the sake of a peaceful and prosperous future.
