Uzbekistan Aims for Top Ten Finish at 2028 Los Angeles Olympics
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has set ambitious goals for Uzbekistan in the upcoming 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Following the success achieved at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Uzbek athletes secured a record 13 medals, the president emphasized the need to continue striving for excellence and not become complacent with past achievements.
In a recent video conference meeting chaired by President Mirziyoyev, the focus was on strengthening preparations for both the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as advancing mass sports to a new level. The president stressed the importance of all responsible officials working diligently towards the goal of securing a place in the top ten at the upcoming Olympics.
Highlighting the significance of sports as a powerful tool to showcase the nation’s genetic heritage, strength, and global reputation, President Mirziyoyev emphasized the need for a comprehensive approach to preparations for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
