Uzbekistan and Russia Strengthen Collaboration on Drug Labeling and Data Exchange
In a significant move towards enhancing cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry, Uzbekistan and Russia have agreed to implement a system for mutual recognition of drug labeling and establish a mechanism for exchanging data on the circulation of medicines in both countries.
During a recent visit by a Russian delegation led by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to Uzbekistan, an agreement was signed on information cooperation to facilitate the transfer of data on labeling codes for medicinal products. This agreement aims to streamline processes related to drug labeling and ensure the efficient exchange of information between the two countries.
Furthermore, on September 10, the Chairman of the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Kudbiev, met with the head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, Daniil Yegorov, to discuss collaboration on data sharing. Kudbiev presented Uzbekistan’s automated information systems for the tax committee and highlighted the country’s efforts in implementing modern tools for data collection and visualization. These tools, including dashboards, enable the creation of clear analytical reports for various activities, ultimately leading to improved efficiency and transparency.
The collaboration between Uzbekistan and Russia in the pharmaceutical sector is expected to benefit both countries by promoting greater transparency in drug circulation and enhancing regulatory processes. This agreement marks a positive step towards strengthening bilateral ties and fostering mutual cooperation in the healthcare industry.
