Uzbekistan’s First Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina Appointed
Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, presented credentials to Željka Cvijanović, Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Ibragimov, who also serves as ambassador to Austria, Albania, and Slovakia, emphasized the prospects for enhancing bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina during talks with Cvijanović. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in trade, the economy, culture, and tourism.
Chairwoman Cvijanović commended Uzbekistan’s wide-ranging reforms under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s leadership and highlighted the country’s tangible achievements. Both sides expressed readiness to elevate relations to a qualitatively new level.
Bakhtiyor Ibragimov also holds accreditation as Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria, Albania, and Slovakia. He also serves as the country’s official representative to various international organizations based in Vienna, including the OSCE, UNODC, CTBTO, IAEA, and other UN agencies. This appointment further solidifies Uzbekistan’s diplomatic presence in the region and enhances opportunities for collaboration and cooperation between the countries involved.
