Uzinfocom Announces Blockchain Hackathon 2025 with 100 Million UZS Prize Pool

Uzbekistan’s national information technology agency, Uzinfocom, has revealed plans for the Blockchain Hackathon 2025, a competition centered around decentralized systems and blockchain technologies. This event is being held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the national .UZ domain and features a generous prize pool of 100 million UZS.

The competition is open to developers, blockchain experts, and technology enthusiasts who are eager to showcase their skills and innovations in the field. Participants can choose to compete individually or as part of a team, with the opportunity to win a portion of the exciting prize money.

Individuals and teams will be challenged to create a prototype of a decentralized application using blockchain technology within a 10-hour timeframe. Winners will not only receive monetary rewards but also gain access to valuable opportunities for further development of their projects.

The distribution of the prize pool is as follows:
– 1st place: 50 million UZS
– 2nd place: 30 million UZS
– 3rd place: 20 million UZS

The Blockchain Hackathon 2025 is scheduled to take place on April 27-28 at the Congress Hall of the Ministry of Digital Development. Registration for the event is now open on the Token.uz project website and must be completed by April 10. Both individuals and teams of up to five members are eligible to participate.

It’s worth noting that the national blockchain network, Token.uz, was launched in January 2024 and has already achieved significant success. According to the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP), the network has processed over 400,000 transactions totaling 0.52 gigabytes in less than a year, generating a profit of 428.5 million UZS.
