Virtual Interactive Museum ‘The Great Victory’ Launched by Russian Media Center ‘Известия’

The Russian multimedia information center “Известия” has launched a new virtual interactive museum titled “The Great Victory” on March 31, 2025, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
This innovative project utilizes modern visualization technologies to provide users with an immersive experience of historical events. The museum consists of seven thematic halls: “Heroes of Victory”, “Living History”, “Weapons of Victory”, “Victorious Battles”, “Everything for Victory”, “Military Commanders”, and “Victory Through the Lens of “Известия”.
Each hall showcases unique archival materials, 3D models of military equipment, interactive maps, animated photographs of war correspondents, and interviews with veterans. For instance, in the “Weapons of Victory” hall, visitors can explore 3D models of aircraft, tanks, and small arms in a 360° format.
The “Victorious Battles” section provides interactive maps where users can delve into strategically significant battles and the tactics used by Soviet soldiers.
The exhibition will be continuously updated, with some elements already being displayed on media facades throughout the country, making historical materials more accessible to the public.
The virtual museum “The Great Victory” is a groundbreaking project that aims to educate and immerse users in the history of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, highlighting the heroism and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom and peace.
