Visit of Media Ethics Board to BRTK
The Chairman of the Media Ethics Board, Aysu Basri Akter, along with other members of the Board of Directors, recently paid a visit to the Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation (BRTK). During the visit, BRTK’s Institution Manager, Meryem Özkurt, expressed that the organization remains committed to upholding ethical standards in their work.
Akter highlighted the significance of increasing awareness about media ethics and emphasized that it is a responsibility that falls on every citizen, not just media professionals. She stated, “BRTK’s role in raising public awareness is crucial for all of us.”
As part of their collaboration, it was agreed upon during the visit that informative public service announcements created by the Media Ethics Board and shared on social media platforms will be produced and aired by BRTK.
This partnership aims to promote ethical practices in media and ensure that the public is well-informed on media ethics. By working together, both organizations are taking proactive steps towards fostering a more responsible and accountable media landscape.
