
Voter Lists Suspended for Lower Dikmen District Headman Election Tomorrow

The Supreme Electoral Board (YSK) has announced that the ballot box voter lists for the headman election in Dikmen/Aşağı Dikmen District of Kyrenia will be suspended starting tomorrow. This suspension is in preparation for the upcoming by-election of local organization bodies scheduled for Sunday, June 30.
According to the statement released by the YSK, the voter lists will be suspended for a total of 4 days. During this time, the lists will be available for examination between 09:00 and 19:00. If there are any objections or applications to be made regarding the lists, they can be submitted between 18:00 and 19:00 on working days, and between 09:00-10:00 and 18:00-19:00 on other days. These objections and applications can be made either through persons appointed by the District Election Boards or directly to the relevant District Election Board.
It is important to note that any objections or applications should be supported by written evidence. This written evidence should include identification documents such as identity cards or passports to verify identity and citizenship. Additionally, for determining permanent residence, a written document from the headman’s office where the permanent residence is located is required. This document should bear the signature of the headman, two members of the council of elders, and the seal of the headman.
