Winners revealed in international essay competition by Turkmenistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The results of the international essay competition on the importance of international humanitarian law in maintaining peace and security on the planet have been announced by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. Students from higher educational institutions of Central Asian countries participated in the competition.
The first-place winners were Merdan Charyev from the International University for Humanities and Development, Nurana Rejepgulyeva from Turkmen State University, and Adeli Raimkulova from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Second place was awarded to five participants from various institutions including the State Medical University of Turkmenistan, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Tajik National University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent.
The bronze medal was given to eight participants from institutions such as Turkmen State Institute of Finance, State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, International University for Humanities and Development, Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Tajik National University.
The competition jury evaluated the participants’ knowledge of international humanitarian law, the originality of their ideas, the relevance of their work to the competition’s theme, and the quality of their presentation.
Congratulations to all the winners for their efforts in promoting awareness of international humanitarian law and its role in maintaining peace and security on our planet.
