Chinese President Xi Jinping Congratulates People on Spring Festival
Chinese President Xi Jinping has extended his best wishes to the Chinese people on the occasion of the Spring Festival, according to a report from Xinhua.
Speaking from the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, Xi Jinping conveyed his greetings to his compatriots in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Chinese of all ethnic groups at home and abroad. He also called for writing a new chapter in promoting Chinese-style modernization.
Reflecting on the past year, Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of advancing the course of building a strong nation and national rejuvenation through China’s modernization. He stressed that this is not only a path to prosperity for the Chinese people, but also a fair path to world peace and development. He expressed confidence that by staying committed to the right path and their initial aspirations, the Chinese people will be able to overcome all difficulties and obstacles on the path forward and achieve success.
As the Chinese New Year marks the Year of the Dragon, Xi Jinping urged all Chinese to act as pioneers and move forward with great zeal and dedication. He also stressed the need to adhere to the main theme of the work – achieving progress in stability, improving economic vitality, preventing and eliminating risks, and enhancing the living standards of the population.
The Chinese New Year, also known as Chunjie or the Spring Festival, is the most important holiday for the Chinese, with a history of more than two thousand years. It is celebrated on the second new moon after the winter solstice.
As the Chinese people prepare to celebrate the Spring Festival, President Xi Jinping’s message serves as a reminder of the importance of promoting unity, progress, and prosperity for the nation and its people.
