Moroccan Boy Makes History as the Youngest Arab to Climb Mount Kilimanjaro
In a remarkable achievement, young Moroccan boy Tazi has made history by becoming the youngest Arab to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Standing at 5,895 meters above sea level, Tazi proudly waved the Moroccan flag from the summit, showcasing his accomplishment to the world.
In a video post from the top of Kilimanjaro, Tazi expressed his pride in achieving this historical feat, stating, “I am proud to achieve a historical success as the smallest Moroccan Arab to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.” He also expressed his happiness in representing his country on the international stage and honoring the youth of Morocco.
While Tazi did not disclose the duration of his climb, he credited his passion for mountains to the unwavering support of his family, particularly his father, Omar al-Tazi, who has been a strong source of encouragement for him.
This is not the first time Tazi has embarked on a challenging mountain climb. In August 2023, he climbed Mount Ararat alongside his father, further showcasing his determination and skills in mountaineering.
In a statement signed by his father, Omar al-Tazi, it was highlighted that Tazi’s achievement serves as an inspiration for all Moroccan youth to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
Tazi himself emphasized that his success not only brings pride to his name but also to his beloved country, Morocco.
