Ukrainian President Zelenskiy Inspects Naval Equipment in Turkey
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy recently made a visit to Turkey where he announced in a post on his social media account that he had examined the readiness and equipment of the Ivan Mazepa corvette. During his visit, he also met with the personnel of the Ukrainian Navy and expressed his gratitude for their service.
In his post, Zelenskiy highlighted the importance of strengthening their country’s defense capabilities. He mentioned that he oversaw the construction of the second Ada class corvette, which he named “Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi”.
Zelenskiy took the opportunity to thank President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and all Turkish and Ukrainian defense companies for their partnership in bringing peace closer and working together to make it permanent. This collaboration between the two countries’ defense industries is seen as a step towards enhancing security and stability in the region.
