Zelensky awaits “clear sign” of Ukraine’s NATO membership at Summit

Zelenskiy, the President of Ukraine, has been making diplomatic visits to various countries to seek support for his country’s NATO membership. During his visit to Prague, the capital of Czechia, Zelenskiy met with President Petr Pavel and Prime Minister Petr Fiala. In a statement, Zelenskiy expressed his expectation for a clear signal regarding Ukraine’s NATO membership at the upcoming summit in Vilnius.
“We need that motivation. We need honesty in our relationships,” Zelenskiy emphasized. He believes that the Vilnius summit is an opportune moment to demonstrate unity and courage in supporting Ukraine’s aspirations for NATO membership.
Prime Minister Fiala also affirmed Czechia’s commitment to supporting Ukraine. He stated that political, military, and humanitarian assistance from Czechia to Ukraine will continue, and they have plans to send more helicopters and ammunition to Ukraine.
In addition to his visit to Prague, Zelenskiy is scheduled to make a working visit to Turkey. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will hold tete-a-tete meetings with Zelenskiy, and the two leaders will also engage in discussions with their respective delegations.
Zelenskiy’s diplomatic efforts aim to garner international support for Ukraine’s NATO membership, as the country continues to face tensions with Russia and seeks to enhance its security and stability through closer ties with the alliance.
