“19th Theater Days Kick Off with Bekir Kara” – BRTK
The 19th Theater Days event, known as the “Bekir Kara Theater Days” and organized by Güzelyurt Municipality, has officially begun. The event will run from November 2023 to March 2024 and promises to showcase a variety of theatrical performances.
The opening weekend of Theater Days featured the play “Istibdat Kumpanyası” by Adana Metropolitan Municipality City Theater. The performance took place at the Güzelyurt AKM and was attended by Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar, Municipal Council members, and numerous art enthusiasts.
“Istibdat Kumpanyası,” written by Uğur Saatçi and directed by İlter Şen, revolves around the story of Şeref Pasha, who devises a plan to overthrow Sultan Abdülhamit Han using theater as a strategic tool.
Following the play, Güzelyurt Mayor Mahmut Özçınar honored Adana Metropolitan Municipality City Theater General Art Director Önder Özcan with a plaque in recognition of the memorable performance.
