
2023 Declaration Campaign: Sadyr Japarov’s Earnings Revealed

The Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan has started to release the income declarations of officials for the year 2023, including information about the earnings and property of President Sadyr Japarov. According to the State Tax Service, President Japarov earned 2,760,335 soms during the reporting period and owns a 0.63-hectare plot of agricultural land.
The declaration also revealed that the president and his close relatives do not own personal vehicles, real estate, or livestock. It was noted that his relatives have 17 square meters of “Other capital buildings or structures,” although it was not specified what exactly this refers to (likely a garage according to 24.kg news agency).
In previous declarations, it was reported that in 2021, President Japarov’s income was 997,803 soms, indicating a monthly salary of 83,100 soms. He also listed a garage as part of his property. In the 2020 declaration, it was stated that his relatives owned two houses with areas of 50.7 and 389 square meters, a garage of 17.2 square meters, and were founders of the Umut Bulagy Public Foundation.
This public release of income declarations aims to promote transparency and accountability among government officials in Kyrgyzstan.
