25 Palestinians Arrested in Occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem
Israeli Forces Detain 25 Palestinians in the West Bank
The Palestinian Prisoner Affairs Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestine Prisoner Association have issued a joint statement reporting that Israeli forces detained 25 Palestinians in the West Bank on Friday and Saturday.
The detentions occurred in various West Bank cities, including Nablus, Jenin, Qalqilya, Tulkerem, Ramallah, Jericho, Hebron, and East Jerusalem. This brings the total number of Palestinians detained in the West Bank and East Jerusalem to 8,575.
Among those detained were women, children, and previously released former detainees. The statistics provided cover those who have been detained since October 7, as well as those who were later released.
Since October 7, 2023, when the Israeli army initiated an attack on the Gaza Strip, there has been a notable increase in detentions, raids, and attacks targeting Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem. Tragically, 496 Palestinians have lost their lives in attacks by Israeli soldiers and civilian Jewish occupiers in this region since October 7.
The ongoing conflict in the West Bank and East Jerusalem continues to escalate, with the international community closely monitoring the situation and calling for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
