Award-winning play “Trees Die Standing” to be performed in TRNC
The highly acclaimed play “Trees Die Standing” by Tiyatrokare will be presented to the theater audience in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) tomorrow, on March 19 and 20.
Directed by Nedim Saban, the play features renowned Turkish theater artist Nevra Serezli in a leading role. Serezli, who has returned to the stage after an 11-year hiatus, portrays the character of a grandmother who is filled with longing for her grandchildren.
Having received multiple awards, “Trees Die Standing” has been running for four years and continues to captivate audiences with its powerful storytelling.
The upcoming performances are scheduled to take place at Famagusta Rauf Denktaş Cultural Center on March 19, Girne American University on March 19, and Near East University in Nicosia on March 20.
